Is the VCDS 20.4.1 a big evolution compared to its predecessor the VCDS 20.4.1.x?
Quite frankly, if you own vehicles after 2018, you will have a better chance of accessing the modules you want, although not all of them, depending on the brand, model, the firmware is usable. We cannot make an exhaustive list, too many models exist that would be too long, however, ASAM files have been added and you have more vehicles supported with 20.4.1.

If your vehicle is from 2018 or before, the VCDS 20.4.1 cable will be more than sufficient.
